Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This Policy explains how PIXORA processes information. PIXORA is local-first for image work, but licensing, entitlement, checkout, and Restore License use the PIXORA backend and Paddle. It would therefore be inaccurate to say that no data is processed or that every operation is entirely local.
1. Information processed locally
Image discovery, scanning, decoding, conversion, resizing, filename generation, ZIP creation, clipboard preparation, and most download workflows run in the browser extension, its content scripts, or its offscreen document.
PIXORA locally processes image URLs and bytes, page metadata needed to identify an image, selected settings, filenames, conversion options, scan results, and temporary object URLs. Normal image processing does not upload image files or image contents to the PIXORA licensing backend.
When PIXORA retrieves an image, the browser may make a request directly to the website or content host that serves it. That third party receives the network information ordinarily associated with the request and applies its own privacy practices.
2. Local extension storage
PIXORA may store settings, language and theme choices, presets, templates, folder preferences, installation credentials, entitlement cache data, and Trial or plan state in Chrome extension storage. The server remains authoritative for production entitlements; editing local storage does not create Pro access.
Temporary image data, object URLs, and job state are used to complete requested operations and are cleaned up by the extension’s normal lifecycle. Browser downloads and clipboard contents remain under your and your browser or operating system’s control.
3. Information sent to the PIXORA backend
For licensing and purchase functions, the backend may process:
- a random installation identifier, installation credential verification data, credential version, and installation lifecycle status;
- authoritative plan, Trial, Lifetime, entitlement, and synchronization timestamps or status;
- purchase references, Paddle transaction and customer identifiers, product and price identifiers, provider status, purchase bindings, and licensing audit events;
- the email address and Paddle receipt transaction identifier you submit for Restore License, and provider-verified purchase metadata needed to validate the pair;
- request IP address and standard HTTP request metadata handled by the reverse proxy, rate limiter, and security or access logs. Request bodies, authorization headers, Paddle signatures, and secrets are excluded from application request logs.
The backend uses this information to register installations, start and validate Trial access, synchronize entitlements, create a checkout transaction, bind a verified purchase, restore an eligible purchase, prevent abuse, enforce restore limits, investigate failures, and maintain licensing records.
4. Payments and Paddle
Paddle acts as merchant of record and authorized reseller for Lifetime Pro purchases. Information entered in the Paddle checkout, such as contact, location, billing, tax, and payment details, is collected and processed by Paddle under its own notices. PIXORA does not receive card details.
Paddle may provide PIXORA with transaction, customer, product, price, status, and contact metadata needed for product fulfilment, entitlement binding, Restore License, support, fraud prevention, refunds, and disputes. The PIXORA backend may query Paddle to verify that a submitted email and receipt transaction belong to an eligible completed purchase.

5. Purposes and sharing
PIXORA processes information only for providing requested product features, licensing and entitlement administration, checkout and purchase fulfilment, Restore License, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and compliance with applicable obligations.
Information may be shared with Paddle where necessary for payment and purchase verification, and with infrastructure providers that transmit or host the public backend. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or a valid legal process. PIXORA does not sell personal information and the project does not include advertising trackers or product analytics telemetry.
6. Storage and retention
Local extension information is stored by Chrome on your device or browser profile and is governed by browser controls. The PIXORA backend stores installation, entitlement, purchase, binding, and audit records in its licensing database so it can preserve Trial integrity, verify Lifetime access, restore purchases, and investigate payment or security events.
Primary backend records are retained for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes and applicable obligations. The production deployment creates rolling backups of the licensing database with a configured seven-day backup retention. Standard server and reverse-proxy logs are retained according to the server’s operational log rotation settings. Paddle retains payment data under its own policies.
7. Security
PIXORA uses HTTPS for the public backend, loopback-only application binding behind a reverse proxy, hashed installation credentials, bounded request sizes, rate limits, strict security headers, signed Paddle webhooks, allowlisted catalog identifiers, and server-side entitlement decisions.
No system can guarantee absolute security. Keep installation credentials and purchase receipts private, keep the browser updated, and report suspected unauthorized access through an available support channel.
8. Your choices and rights
You may choose not to purchase Pro, avoid Restore License, change local PIXORA settings, or stop using and uninstall the extension. Disabling a requested feature may prevent the corresponding operation.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information. These rights are subject to lawful exceptions and the need to retain records for security, transactions, or legal obligations. For Paddle-held payment data, use Paddle’s privacy and support channels.
9. Children
PIXORA is a general-purpose image utility and is not designed or directed specifically to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a licensing or purchase flow, use the contact options below so the matter can be reviewed.
10. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated to reflect changes to PIXORA, its providers, or applicable requirements. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate product or website notice where reasonably possible.
11. Contact
For privacy questions, data or privacy requests, product-related privacy inquiries, or general PIXORA support, contact PIXORA at the email address below.
For payment data processed by Paddle, use Paddle’s own privacy or customer support channels.
